[Recipe] Pineapple Mango Tropical Smoothie from 145 Calories

Pineapple Mango Tropical Smoothie from 145 Calories

It may not be a pina colada but I can imagine myself sipping this on a warm tropical beach somewhere, just a few steps from my holiday cottage; sun on my face, sand in my toes, the warm tropical water lapping at my feet, aaah, bliss …

Cut!

Take two!

Skip the sand-in-the-toes bit, pleeeease. There’s nothing I hate more than sand in my toes … well, actually, maybe I can think of one or two things, lol! (I grew up in a small town that had two beaches within a short walk, and many more within half an hour or less if you could drive, and they all had firm sand ... so no grit between the toes!)

Anyway, a tropical pineapple and mango smoothie is one of my favorites – beach or no beach. Try this one, close your eyes, and see if it takes you to a warm holiday destination.

The recipe is based on one from Krista at JoyfulHealthyEats (with a side of sweet!) Just the way I like things, too. Krista says this tropical smoothie is just …

… the perfect way to start your day. Fresh flavors that will take you straight to the beach and with [a good serving] of protein!

Drink it as a filling breakfast or as snacks for you and the children after school.
