Chocolate and mint is such a wonderful combination and a hot favorite in the ice cream stakes. But I usually try to avoid temptation due to the high calorie count. (Sad face!) So I was really pleased to find this skinny chocolate mint smoothie recipe from Brianne at CupcakesAndKaleChips. The details are at the end of the post.
Brianne says her smoothie …
… is so frosty cool and satisfying. It totally feels like an indulgent dessert, but it’s good for you! As I’ve told you before, I opt for cottage cheese in my smoothies. It blends up into a perfectly creamy and silky smooth texture, without the tartness of Greek yogurt, so I think it lends itself better to certain flavor combinations. In this case, it mellows out the minty-ness. And you can make it as chocolaty as you like …
And if you wish to elevate it to green smoothie goodness that is easily done by adding 1-2 handfuls of spinach.
