This is a refreshing fruit-only smoothie and will be good at any time on a warm day, especially well-chilled. Mango and orange can be quite tangy but the edge is taken off it with the addition of a sweet, ripe banana.
The recipe is from Tania at Cooktoria and the details are on the next page. Click the button below to go there now, or when you get to the bottom of the page.
If you prefer your smoothies without banana just skip it. You can adjust the tanginess by adding a teaspoonful or two of raw honey for it’s natural health benefits instead.
As this is a fruit-only smoothie you should avoid it if you have diabetes or are concerned about developing it.
Actually that’s not the complete story!
Most smoothies can be safely adjusted for those with diabetes. Check out our post 5 Strategies for Smoothies for Diabetics for excellent tips for those who wish to avoid the risk of high blood sugar levels.

If you want to add a little extra nutrients, kale leaves work really well, or if you are looking for extra energy boost, add 1 tbsp of coconut oil. Of course, you can top it off with chia seeds. The combination of mango and banana truly makes the most smooth smoothie (yes, I said it!). Even my husband, who didn’t like smoothies in past, converted into smoothie lovers after trying this recipe …
Feel free to experiment with different add-ons such as leafy greens, healthy seeds, powders (cocoa maybe?). Now I am thinking, I am going to try it with Matcha Powder next time…
