I love apple and walnuts in a salad so thought I’d try this here smoothie. The result is delicious!
You can take this smoothie to replace a meal or share it with your other half, or if you are really greedy, hide the second one in the refrigerator and don’t tell anyone, lol!
The old adage ‘an apple-a-day keeps the doctor away’ may not be literally true, but they sure are good for you – not least in keeping you regular! And combining it with walnuts, as in this tasty smoothie, adds protein, healthy fats and more fiber, increasing satisfaction and fullness. And then Cindy throws in some oats, as if there is not enough goodness already!!!

Smoothies are a super easy way to blend healthy ingredients for breakfast, a snack, or post workout drink.
When I know I’ve got to get going right after I wake up, a smoothie is my first choice for breakfast. I can easily pour it into a cup and take it with me. I drink it as I’m dropping off my son to his soccer practice and run some quick errands.
