Recipe: Salted Caramel Mocha Smoothie for 150 Calories
Serves 2; approx 150 cals each
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cold Coffee
- 1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1-2 tbs Cocoa powder
- 1 ripe medium Banana, spotty but not black, frozen
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbs Hemp Hearts
- 3-6 pitted Dates* (soaked in hot water for 15 minutes if not soft)
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 cup of Ice
* Add more or remove them altogether. Adjust to your preference.
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
The original recipe requires protein powder. Here are some options to further increase the protein, should you wish to make this more substantial:
- 2 oz Silken Tofu, or
- 2 tbs Flax seeds, or
- 1/4 cup Oats, or
- 2 tbs Almond Butter, or
- 1 oz Almonds, or
- 1/2 cup Cottage Cheese
