It may look quite fancy, but it’s easy to do, really! Just blend the ingredients for the orange layer and pour into 2 glasses. Then wash your blender and mix the ingredients for the green layer and carefully pour it over the orange in both glasses.
And if you’ve had a busy week and can’t be bothered with the palaver just throw everything into the blender together and it will still taste great – you’ll just have a green smoothie.
If you are like me and don’t like to wash your blender twice for one smoothie, the latter is just what you need.

Recipe: Peach and Kale Smoothie for 210 Calories
Serves 2; approx 210 cals each
Ingredients:
For the Orange Layer:
- 1 cup frozen Peaches (a handful)
- 2 Clementines
- 1/2 cup (125g) Greek Yogurt
- 3 tbs Apple Cider, from the measure listed below
OR 1/2 Apple - 4 Ice cubes (optional)
For the Green Layer:
- 3/4 cup (125ml) unsweetened Apple Cider, minus 3 tbs
OR 1 Apple, divided - 1 cup Kale (a handful)
- 1 medium Banana
- 1 stalk of Celery
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
