[Recipe] Mixed Berry Green Smoothie from 135 Calories

Mixed Berry Green Smoothie from 135 Calories

Mixed berries give a lovely hue to smoothies, not the mention a great flavor. Add to that the fact they are high in Vitamin C and they are low in calories and you are onto a winner.

This tasty recipe is from Monique at AmbitiousKitchen.

Monique says ….

Lately I’ve been really into blueberries in just about anything. WILD blueberries to be exact. I like the name and I like the flavor. In fact I kinda feel like Tarzan after eating them.

Really though, they’re SO much better then the conventional ones. I usually purchase mine from Trader Joe’s, but if you can’t find them there, opt for organic blueberries. I promise you’ll notice the flavor difference.

Recipe: Mixed Berry Green Smoothie from 135 Calories

Serves 2; approx 135 cals each
Serves 1; approx 265 cals

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Blueberries, fresh or frozen

  • 1/2 cup Strawberries, Raspberries, or Blackberries, or a mix, fresh or frozen

  • 1/2 medium Banana, frozen

  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
    – or add half teaspoon Vanilla Extract if you don’t have vanilla milk

  • 1/2 cup Yogurt

  • 1 cup baby Spinach

  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds, save a few for topping, if desired

  • Ice, if you wish

Blend until smooth and enjoy.
