Ginger is great for easing joint pain and both ginger and pineapple are good for relieving stuffy colds and clearing sinuses. Flax has heart-healthy good fats in the form of Omega-3 essential fatty acids and yogurt is full of probiotic live bacteria and yeasts that are good for the digestive system. So all-in-all, this is one good-for-you, healthy smoothie!

Recipe: Lightly Spicy Ginger Pineapple Smoothie
Serves 2 small; approx 175 cals each
Serves 1 large; approx 345 cals
Ingredients:
- 1 cup / about 165 g Pineapple, frozen
- 1 teaspoon Flax seed meal
- 1/2 medium Banana, frozen
- 1/4 cup nonfat Greek Yogurt, plain
- 2 teaspoons fresh Ginger, grated (or more!!!)
- 1 cup 100% Orange Juice
Optional Toppings:
a few Blueberries or shavings of Pineapple
1 tsp Granola
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
