This is a delicious sweet, yet lightly spicy smoothie from Linley Richter at FitFoodieFinds. (If you prefer to add lots of ginger then it will be a deliciously sweet, yet hot spicy smoothie!)
Ginger is great for easing joint pain and both ginger and pineapple are good for relieving stuffy colds and clearing sinuses. Flax has heart-healthy good fats in the form of Omega-3 essential fatty acids and yogurt is full of probiotic live bacteria and yeasts that are good for the digestive system. So all-in-all, this is one good-for-you, healthy smoothie!
Linley says …
I haven’t always been a smoothie person. It wasn’t until after college that I figured out all the different ways you could combine healthy, whole, and delicious ingredients to create an on-the-go and filling snack. I find that when I’ve had a pretty active week my body craves my go-to smoothie … However, summer in Minnesota has already been so humid, so a lighter smoothie option was in order …
