I don’t often think of using cashews in my smoothies as they are just sooooo good to eat and savor their delicate flavor. However, having posted a recipe for cashew nut milk (Homemade Nut Milks) recently made me think about using them.
Throw in whatever kind of berries you have on hand – strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, fresh or frozen – and you have this very tasty smoothie that’s high in fiber and with a good helping of protein.
The recipe is based on one from AverieCooks where Averie says …
If you’re trying to work in or sneak in more greens, this is an easy way. Sometimes I use frozen spinach if that’s what I have.
