I bought a big box of kiwi recently and we’ve been using lots in our smoothies. They add a light citrus-y tang which is very pleasant. And being a different color from citrus fruits, the nutrients are a little different. Vary the colors and vary the goodness in our daily smoothies!
This is tasty and filling green smoothie. Vary it with the choice of greens and your choice of protein. Our healthy eating weight loss program will easily accommodate this recipe.

Recipe 1: Banana n Kiwi Green Smoothie for Just 200 Calories
Serves 2; approx 200 cals each
Ingredients:
- 2 Bananas, very ripe, very spotty but not black
- 2 Kiwis, peeled and sliced in half
- 1 cup Spinach, washed and tightly packed
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Ice
Optional:
Honey, to taste, add 21 cals per teaspoon or 64 cals per tablespoon
Note: use very ripe bananas and you will not need additional sweeteners.
Blend until smooth and enjoy.

Recipe 2: Another Banana n Kiwi Meal Replacement Green Smoothie
Serves 2; approx 270 cals each
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Kefir, or 1/2-1 cup Yogurt
- 2 tbs Chia seeds, allow to soak in the liquid while you prepare the rest
- 2 Bananas, very ripe, very spotty but not black
- 2 Kiwis, peeled and sliced in half
- 1 cup Greens, eg Kale, Spinach, Beet Greens, washed and tightly packed
- 1 tbs Lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp ground Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Optional:
1/2 cup Ice
Honey, to taste, add 21 cals per teaspoon or 64 cals per tablespoon

Blend until smooth and enjoy.
