
This tasty smoothie is based on a recipe from Rebecca at FoodieWithFamily. Instead of nutmeg, which is not one of my favorite spices, I used cinnamon which is a favorite and adds a lovely gentle sweet spiciness.

… this is a smoothie-second-to-none in its simplicity is its charm. It doesn’t scream banana, but the sweetness of the banana comes through. The slightly-tangy yogurt makes it as creamy as can be. The ice (and pre-frozen bananas) make it thick like a milkshake.
Recipe: Banana Cinnamon Smoothie for Under 200 Calories
Serves 4; approx 193 cals each
Ingredients:
4 medium-sized, ripe Bananas, frozen in chunks
2 cups natural Greek Yogurt, non-fat
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
2 tbs Hemp seeds
1 cup Ice
Optional:
a little extra Milk, to adjust thickness if necessary
up to 2 tablespoons of Honey, if required – add 64 cals per tablespoon
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
