It’s so cold and dark this morning, and colds and flu are running rife, it feels like I need a boost of everything from warmth to light to Vitamin C!  This immune-boosting smoothie from health.com packs a punch and will do the trick for the Vit C; that eye-candy-image alone of the vitamin-rich fruits just lifts my spirits it’s so bright and fresh.  And from tomorrow the days will start to lengthen, y-a-a-y!  The day is improving already, lol!

The kiwis alone supply nearly twice your daily vitamin C—and the citrus delivers another boost of the cold-busting vitamin.  With only 156 calories, 1 gram of fat, and no cholesterol we know you’re going to love it!

Apparently we cannot overdose on Vitamin C from natural sources, so dive in and let this tingle your tastebuds, fill your eyes and lighten your spirits with the color and vibrancy of this super immune-boosting smoothie.


Recipe: Vitamin-C-packed Immune-Boosting Smoothie

Serves 2; 156 cals each

Ingredients; 

  • 1 (14-ounce) Grapefruit, peeled and cut into chunks

  • 2 medium Oranges (10 ounces total), peeled and cut into chunks

  • 3 Kiwis (preferably golden, about 12 ounces total), peeled and cut into chunks
