A short but insightful article today from Jenny Sugar (popsugar.com) where she highlights the one smoothie ingredient which proved the turning point in her search for losing weight. And having discovered this, she realised there were also several alternatives which would probably be equally effective.
Once I started adding this one simple ingredient, I didn’t feel hungry until lunchtime, when normally I’d need to reach for a mid-morning snack. Skipping those 150 calories every day started to add up, and suddenly the scale started to budge.

Turns out her secret ingredient is … flaxseed – which is not only good for weight loss, but also for getting the omega-3s your body needs. If you are not a lover of fish dishes, this is good news!
Since the RDI of omega-3s is 1.1 grams a day, just one tablespoon of ground flaxseed added to your smoothie, oatmeal, cereal, or sprinkled in your soup or on your salad is way more than enough.
Another tip… ground flaxseed is better at preventing belly bloat…
