Eating high fiber foods, such as oats, helps prevent heart disease. Oats have are also great for lowering your cholesterol levels. You can sub the oats for quinoa flakes or gluten free oats if you have a gluten intolerance.
Tracy’s Fruit Smoothie Recipe:
Ingredients
10 strawberries
1 banana, peeled
1/3 cup dried old fashioned oats
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (non-alcohol)
2 cups fresh baby bok choy leaves or spinach
8 ounces (236 ml) unsweetened almond milk
