... fantastic way to stay healthy during the winter season, this deliciously creamy smoothie has all of the vitamins, nutrients, and minerals that will keep you feeling in tip-top shape! Enjoy it for breakfast or as a healthy snack.
This Kale, Pineapple & Almond Milk Smoothie ...
… is one of the best to work through the something rather season because it’s chock full of vitamins, super delicious as well.
Preparation:
1. Start by peeling one banana – (bananas are really high in potassium – we love our bananas here). Just break it up into smaller pieces
2. Add one cup of kale (you can also use spinach – definitely trying to stick with the dark leafy greens to get maximum nutrients)
3. Pineapple – one of my favorite things to include in the smoothie recipe. It has a nice tangy, zesty sweetness. This recipe calls for half a cup of pineapple and then a Cup of pineapple juice
No pineapple juice? So I’m going to use one cup of fresh pineapple, and add a 1/2 cup of water. Sort of a DIY pineapple juice.
Here’s my favorite part of this smoothie ...
4. 1 cup of homemade almond milk. The almond milk adds a really nice rich creaminess.
5. Blend!

Recipe: Kale, Pineapple & Almond Milk Smoothie
Ingredients (Serves 2)

1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk (preferably homemade)
1 cup packed chopped Kale
1/2 cup Pineapple Juice *
1/2 cup diced Pineapple
1 Banana
Directions
Puree ingredients in a blender until smooth
* See note above if you've no pineapple juice.
