Smoothies are a good way to start the day. Not just because they are tasty but because they are nutritious and set you up for the day ahead. This banana and blueberry smoothie looks good – what a beautiful color the blueberries give it – but it’s what’s inside it and what it does inside you that is even better news. Full of vitamin C, potassium, protein and healthy fats, it’s just what the doctor ordered!
This recipe (see the end of the post for the details) is from Gaby at WhatsGabyCooking. Here’s what she says about it …
Banana Blueberry smoothies appear on the regular in the WGC kitchen. They are loaded with superfoods to get me going in the morning and I find that when I start the day on a healthy note, it keeps me energized and happy all day long without loading on the calories! Plus having a healthy, protein filled, breakfast means it’s okay to break off a piece of dark chocolate mid-day for a little sweet treat – because after all, it’s all about balance!! Also, one should never deny themselves some chocolate [smiley face]
