It’s pumpkin season, so let’s make the most of them and include them in our daily smoothies! This tasty recipe is from Lacey Baier at ASweetPeaChef. Lacey adds separate spices, but you could just as easily add half a teaspoon of the pumpkin spice mix you already have.
You’ll find instructions on How to Cook a Pumpkin in the Pumpkin Green Smoothie recipe we published a while back.

Recipe: Pumpkin Protein Smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk, or Milk of your choice
- 1 Banana, frozen
- ? cup Pumpkin Puree
- 2 tbsp plain Greek Yogurt
- ¼ tsp ground Cinnamon
- 1 tsp pure Maple Syrup
- ? tsp ground Nutmeg
- ? tsp Allspice
- ? tsp ground Cloves
- ? tsp ground Ginger
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder* (optional)
* If you prefer not to use protein powders then try 1/4 cup Cottage Cheese, or Ricotta or Cream Cheese fo a cheesecake flavor. Non fat cottage cheese has 105 cals per cup which is less calories than in 1 scoop of most protein powders. So in using it you will slash the calories and increase the nutrients in this smoothie.
Blend until smooth. Enjoy.
