And when those spices are sweet spices then you are in for a real treat as in this sweet smoothie recipe. It’s from Sarah Koszyk, a registered dietician, is packed with protein and will help fight that sweet-tooth craving. It’s very low in calories so will be a great treat for when the afternoon munchies hit, lol! (The recipe is at the end of the post.)
And here is the best tip I’ve heard in ages from Sarah …
Add all the ingredients to a pint glass. I use a hand-held blender to make clean-up quick & easy for my morning rush.

Recipe: Yogurt Spice and Pumpkin Smoothie
Serves 1; 162 cals
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Pumpkin puree, fresh is best so use whichever you can find where you are
- ½ cup nonfat Greek Yogurt
- ½ tsp ground Nutmeg
- ½ tsp ground Cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground Allspice
- ½ tsp Ginger powder
- ½ Tbsp Agave syrup, or your favorite natural sweetener
