As the weather heats up (at least I hope it is where you are, too!) it’s always good to find a light, refreshing and tasty smoothie that is also low in calories and that can fill as a light snack – because who wants heavy in the heat, right? With the fresh taste of ginger added to the fruit and greens, this smoothie has some zing, too!
The recipe comes from Jess, a certified personal trainer in Virginia, who writes at HelloToFit. Jess says …
This was a recipe that my sister and I made … and she was skeptical about how tasty the smoothie was going to be. Catherine’s opinion of ginger is usually on the meh side, but you should have seen her face when she took her first sip! Her reaction was as follows: “so fresh!”, “it quenches my thirst!”, and “this is so good!”
Within minutes, the two glasses of smoothies were done-zo. Why didn’t I make a double batch?
