Cherries are one of our favorite ingredients, especially when they are in season. But during the rest of the year, we love blending up frozen cherries.
Tart cherries can help muscles recover after working out. They are also full of dietary fiber, vitamin A, potassium, and even a little bit of calcium.
The nutrients in cherries can help support muscle, heart, kidney, and nerve cell functions.

Recipe: Chocolate Covered Cherry Smoothie
Ingredients: (Serves 2)
- 2 cups spinach, fresh
- 2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
- 2 cups cherries, pitted
- 2 banana
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbs cacao powder
Preparation:
- Blend spinach and almond milk until smooth.
- Add the cherries, banana, cinnamon and cacao
- Blend again.
- Note: Use frozen fruit for a colder smoothie.
