Whilst shopping recently I picked up some half price raspberries from the supermarket that I didn’t have any use for at that time, so I decided to freeze them until I thought of what I might do with them. I like raspberries in particular because, fortunately enough, here in Scotland, we are lucky to have a readily available supply of them when in season.

Recipe: Yogurt Raspberry Pear Smoothie
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- scant 1-3/4 cups / 400ml fat free natural Yogurt
- 1-1/4 cups / 150g Raspberries, frozen
- 2 ripe* Pears, peeled, cored and then chopped
- scant 1/4 cup / 50ml unsweetened Cranberry juice
* Ripe pears will make a significant difference to the sweetness of this smoothie. So if yours are not so ripe you might want to add a little natural honey or maple syrup.
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
