I tasted kefir for the first time a couple months back and was hooked. This smoothie is fresh and slightly tangy from the berries and kefir, with a hint of spice from the ginger. Just four ingredients and mmm, so good!

Frozen fruits are my go to when it comes to smoothies because it is convenient and equally nutritious as the fresh ones. I am using frozen wildberries as the main fruit (duh, it’s a wildberry smoothie), which has intense blueberry flavor and twice the amount of antioxidants compared to regular blueberries. Wildberries have that rich, blue color due to antioxidants called flavonoids. They have the ability to neutralize free radicals and help prevent cell damage. Antioxidants also known to protect against inflammation which are the root cause for many diseases.
