A healthy weight loss program allows you to eat everything, but in moderation. This means you are less likely to binge on something you ought not to have. I find that if I know I have a ‘treat’ to look forward to, then resisting temptation is easier. Remember also to sip or eat your treat slowly and savor each mouthful. It’s surprising how satisfying this is.
Today’s smoothie is sweet from the ripe banana and Medjool dates. These also make it a filling recipe. It is based on one by Julie at her Simple-Veganista website.

Recipe: Weight Loss Program: Medjool Date n Vanilla Smoothie
Serves 2; approx 246 cals each
Serves 3 as a snack; 164 cals each
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 large. ripe Banana, frozen
- 4 – 5 Ice cubes
- 4 Medjool Dates, pitted (soft and fresh is best)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Blend really well until smooth and frothy. Enjoy.
