Blueberry smoothies are always popular and my local store has frozen blueberries on offer, so we’ll have a few over the next week or two.

Blueberries are a nutritionist’s dream. They are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, they provide plenty of vitamin E and dietary fiber. Blueberries are good sources of magnesium, calcium, zinc, vitamin K and omega-3 fatty acids which are great for heart health. It’s thought that zinc may have benefits in fighting a cold.
