So all good stories begin and it could be the story of YOUR weight loss success!
These recipes, like the others in our weight loss program, will help you lose weight as part of a healthy eating plan.
The smoothies are based on recipes from Katie at ChocolateCoveredKatie who aimed them at children, but what’s to stop us trying them out, too? With just the tiniest bit of tweaking, we will have room for a tablespoon of seeds or nuts and thus gain some healthy fats into our meal plan.
And if you do make some for the kids, Katie gives a fun suggestion …
Let your kids customize their own fairytale fruit smoothie … For example, a Snow White smoothie might use all white ingredients… and it would stay far away from apples! A Cinderella smoothie might use pumpkin (the princess’s ride of choice). For a 101 Dalmatians smoothie, throw in some chocolate chips.

Serves 1
Ingredients:
- frozen Fruit
- 1/2 cup Liquid (or more for a thinner smoothie)
- 1/2 cup nonfat natural Yogurt (or nonfat flavored)
- Seeds or Nuts
Blend until smooth and enjoy.

Serves 2 as a snack: approx 149 cals each
Ingredients:
- 1 medium Banana, over-ripe, spotty-brown
- 1/2 cup Pineapple juice (or Water)
- a handful of Spinach (or Kale) leaves
- 1/2 cup nonfat natural or fruit Yogurt
- 1 tbs Hemp seeds

Serves 1; approx 289 cals (224 with water)
Serves 2 as a snack: approx 125 cals each (or 112 with water)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen Mango
- 1/2 cup Pineapple juice (or Water)
- 1/2 cup nonfat natural or fruit Yogurt
- 2 tbs shredded Coconut
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
