I love the color of this bright sunshine-yellow smoothie. They say the eyes enjoy our food first and make us want to eat. So if you have someone feeling poorly in the family this could be just the lift they need. The boost of Vitamin C will help enormously.
And even if everyone is well, this smoothie will give such a lift to the spirits on a cold, cloudy, dark, winter day – we’ve had our first snow of the winter already! A great way to add bright, healthy nutrients to keep us on top form.
The recipe is from Layla at GimmeDelicious who gives these tips …
If the fruit is cold the ice-cubes are optional. If the fruit is at room temp and you do not have ice-cubes, cut all the fruit and place in the freezer for 20 minutes to chill before blending. To pre-pack this smoothie cut all the fruits and freeze in ziplock bags and freeze.
