This delish smoothie will not only fill you up with its oats and banana (which make it very creamy) but it will wake you up, too, with its caffeine boost. I think it’s fun getting a protein, fiber and nutrient boost with my morning coffee. And if you add almond butter, as well making it extra tasty, nutritious and filling, you’ll find you can go longer without wanting to ‘top up’ as almonds have been shown to reduce the urge to snack.

Recipe: The Non-Morning Person’s Wake-Up Smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1 Banana, sliced and frozen
- ½ cup (120 mL) strong brewed Coffee, chilled
- ½ cup (120 mL) Milk (any variety)
- ¼ cup (25 g) rolled Oats
- Optional: spoonful of Nut Butter
Blend until smooth. Enjoy.
