Tropical, mango and coconut are three words I love to put together! And when you put the flavors together in a tasty smoothie, it takes a lot to beat this combo.
I made it the other morning and we loved it! It’s tasty, filling and full of good things from the fruit to the oats, to the probiotics in the kefir and cottage cheese, to the greens.
It contains a good amount of protein from the oats, kefir and cottage cheese. The protein, soluble fiber and fat will keep you full and on-track within our healthy eating weight loss program.
This recipe makes 2 large smoothies, and it fits well within the recommended levels for a meal-replacement smoothie.

Recipe: Tasty Tropical Mango Coconut Green Smoothie
Serves 2 large smoothies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Kefir, or Yogurt or Milk of choice
- 1 cup Water
- 4 small Dates, soaked
- 1/2 cup Oats
- 3 tbs Coconut
- 1 cup Mango
- 1 med Banana
- 1/2 cup 2% Cottage Cheese
- handful Spinach
- piece of Ginger, to taste, grated
- pinch Turmeric
- pinch Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
