Do you need to empty your freezer of last year’s cranberries to make room to store the new season berries? That’s what Mike at TheIronYou found was his next task when he started to clean out his freezer. We won’t go into what all else he found there, lol Suffice to say he had frozen cranberries and frozen strawberries.
It doesn’t sound to many miles from my freezer at the moment. So i think I’ll join him in clearing out the old and making room for the new season’s produce.
So, to take advantage of this abundance, Mike decided to make an antioxidant smoothie bomb! And he says it was …
… delicious, in all respects.
To offset the cranberries’ tartness and green tea’s slight bitterness I blended them with some strawberries, a banana, and I also added a tablespoon of maple syrup.
All in all, a tasty and healthy smoothie with a very pretty red-flecked pink color.
Slight tart, super creamy, not too filling, and packed with nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants to keep your immune system strong.
