Strawberry smoothies are always popular. Berries are low in calories and full of Vitamin C, fiber and many more good-for-you nutrients. Add to that a good dose of protein and the relatively quick process of smoothie-making and your day is off to a good, not to mention a healthy, start.
I won’t go so far as to say we are a divided nation, however we are divided on the best way to have a smoothie … should I drink it or eat it with a spoon? Should it be a snack or full meal-replacement smoothie? We give you the option of a tasty strawberry smoothie in a glass or in a bowl or chock-full of all the nutrients you need to replace a meal.
The basic recipe comes from Blair at TheSeasonedMom and the details are on the next page. Blair says …
… I looooove smoothies. Whether I whip one up for breakfast, lunch, or snack, it seems like there’s rarely a day that passes when I don’t blend together some sweet concoction. I just love how filling and satisfying they are (and it doesn’t hurt that they taste like a milkshake)!
