I’m used to putting cinnamon and ginger in my smoothies, and am aware of the health benefits of doing so. However, I never thought to add cayenne or chilli powder. Until recently, that is, and I’m really surprised how good it is. (Start off slowly if you are unsure.)
According to Ryan (HealthSmoothieHQ), some of the health benefits of cayenne include:
- supporting weight loss
- fighting colds and flu
- an anti-allergen
- excellent for the circulation
- has anti-inflammatory properties
- supports healthy detox
Adding spices is a super easy way to enhance the taste and boost the nutrition of your smoothies.
