I just ran across this cool smoothie recipe where author Sally, from sallysbakingaddiction.com, says it makes her skin glow … it has dramatically improved her skin tone, she claims – and her readers agree! The ingredients make me believe it!
This glowing skin smoothie also boosts energy and tastes delicious. This could well become one of my favorite smoothie recipes very quickly. Check out the recipe below and let me know how you like it…
Here’s Sally’s story…
The goal is to have my skin looking its best on September 20th, so I’ve been doing all sorts of things like drinking my weight in water, getting enough sleep and lots of SPF while exercising regularly.
Oh hey, guess what. I’m already at 88 miles so far this month. (!!!)
I did a lot of research in the beginning of the summer about which foods can help improve my skin tone. There were obvious finds like salmon, broccoli, and almonds. But I also stumbled upon a whole list of foods I already enjoy, but don’t eat on the regular. So I bought a bunch, blended them up, and today’s smoothie was born.
Recipe: Smoothie Helps Sally’s Skin Glow!
This glowing skin smoothie is not only energy boosting and delicious, it has dramatically improved my skin tone. One of my favorite smoothie recipes, by far. I drink it 5-7 times per week.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup plain Coconut Water
2 frozen ripe Bananas, previously peeled & sliced
1 cup chopped Pineapple (frozen or fresh)
1 cup chopped Mango (frozen or fresh)
2 cups Spinach or Kale
1/2 Avocado, sliced
optional: 1 Tablespoon ground Flax or Flaxseed Oil
Note: Needs a strong, powerful blender.
Tip: I find lots of frozen fruit can quickly make the mix too much for the blender, so adding more coconut water as needed is a great tip.
