I keep saying it, but one of the great things about smoothies is that you can vary your tasty morning drink according to whatever you have in the house. There are just one or two basics to pay attention to so you do not have a sugar bomb that will send your blood sugar levels to the moon! Things like adding some protein or healthy fats – can’t you just see some coconut going really well with this one?
This simple 3-ingredient recipe comes from Carla at ChocolateMoosey. Most of us love smoothies because we can hide the veggies in them. Carla is the opposite …
Veggies are a no brainer for me, but I’m not a pick-up-an-apple-and-eat kind of girl. Give me broccoli. Give me carrots. But oranges? Apples? Bananas? I want to thank whoever invented fruit smoothies because … Fruit doesn’t have to be boring anymore!

Recipe: Simple 3-Ingredient Banana Smoothie
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup natural Greek Yogurt, about 1 small container*
- 2 cups Mango, in cubes
- 1 cup ripe Banana, sliced
Optional:
2 tbsp Coconut Flakes or shredded Coconut
OR use a Coconut Yogurt instead of plain
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
* If you regularly use yogurt in your smoothies, you could freeze them in large ice cube trays. Then you can add frozen yogurt to fresh fruit without needing ice to chill it.
