Here’s a breakfast green smoothie which also doubles as a healthy snack or meal on-the-go. It’s from Sarah (at sarahgoldstein.ca) who seems to love experimenting as much as I do with combinations of fruit & veg ingredients to suit her taste and mood.
No doubt, we’ll see many more smoothie recipes from Sarah in future, but for today I’m sharing her basic smoothie recipe.

I love smoothies for many reasons. Not only do I love the taste and texture, but I also love how you can fit so many nutrients and “superfoods” into one nifty glass, or mason jar.
- Smoothies are an easy, filling, nutrient dense and easy-to-digest meal.
- They are great for some extra energy and can aid in digestion.
What is not to love about that?
