They contain a range of vitamins and minerals and are good for balancing hormones and for arthritis. Hemp can also suppress appetite and keep you feeling full for longer, so is great on a weight reduction diet. It will not get you ‘high’ like it’s cousin.

Recipe: Peach Banana Hemp Smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Peaches, sliced, frozen
- ½ frozen Banana
- ½ cup Bai5 Panama Peach, optional
- ½ cup unsweetened vanilla Almond Milk
- 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
- 1 scoop Brown Rice Protein* powder, optional
- ½ tsp Turmeric
* Alternatives to Protein Powders:
Protein powders are usually 1 scoop per serving which is about 25-30 grams. This equates to approximately 100-120 calorie. Some alternatives would be:
- 1/2 cup cooked brown rice is approximately 105 calories;
- 1/2 cup full fat cottage cheese is 110 cals and 12 grams protein;
- 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese is 98 cals and 12 grams protein
