Most mornings we have some kind of healthy smoothie for breakfast and I definitely see this one making a regualr appearance in our weekly rotation. According to the creator – Dana from minimalistbaker.com – “this tart and sweet smoothie tastes like driving in a convertible with the top down on a sunny day!!”
This one really got my creative juices flowing – I hope it does the same to you too…and helps you come up with some great new ideas for your own smoothie recipes. Check out the recipe below and let me know how you like it…
From Dana…
My favorite drink has always has been a cherry limeade. So refreshing, bubbly and perfectly tart and sweet. I especially love the cherry and squeezed limes at the bottom to nosh on once the drink is gone. This smoothie… five ingredients, tart and sweet, and perfect as a healthy breakfast on the go.
- It starts with loads of cherries and fresh lime juice for that quintessential cherry limeade flavor.
- Ripe nectarine adds creamy texture and a sweet touch that’s neutral but complements the cherries perfectly.
- Almond milk adds creaminess, while…
- …ice chills everything down.
