We haven’t had a chocolate smoothie recipe for a while; it must be all of … let’s see … one whole day, lol! So in case you are having withdrawal symptoms (like me) here is another one. This time it’s from Tania at Cooktoria and you’ll find the recipe at the end of the post.
Containing healthy fat, berries, fiber and a little extra sweetness from the Medjool dates and optional honey, this smoothie has about 350 calories and is intended to replace a meal. It’s filling and chocolatey and delicious and healthy.
Tania comments …
Did you know that according to Elson Hass’s book “Staying Healthy With Nutrition,” cocoa has antidepressant benefits? Also, cocoa has the ability to boost endorphins, which act as natural “happy” opiates. How great would it be to start your day with this smoothie packed with cocoa, huh?
