I sometimes do things in the wrong order. Do you?
I came across this photo of an owl oatmeal bowl celebrating food art and thought it soooo cute! I then thought, wouldn’t a smoothie bowl like that make a special treat for a child’s birthday breakfast? Or maybe the first day back at school after the holidays. Or a special weekend celebration. And not just for kids – I know one or two adults who would love this, too!
However there was no recipe associated with it … You could just add the fruit to a bowl of oatmeal/porridge, but I wanted to do a smoothie bowl or at the very least some overnight oats, so I went looking for a suitable recipe.
And I found this tasty chocolate peanut butter and jelly smoothie bowl from Gayle at PumpkinNspice. The recipe is over the page. Gayle says her smoothie bowl …
… is jam-packed with nutrients, protein, and fuel to keep you [or the kids] going all day long. It contains just a few simple ingredients and is full of chocolate and creamy peanut butter. You’ll never guess that this bowl is secretly healthy!
