After a few pints on Sunday night, I was craving some serious green detox smoothie action to whip me back into shape … [this recipe] turned out pretty delicious and the wheatgrass and maca powders are masked by the strong flavor of the fresh mint and potent cocoa nibs. And don’t fret if you don’t have the powders listed in the recipe. I tried the smoothie with and without and it tasted just as well without. You just get an added nutrition boost by adding them in.

Recipe: Kara’s Superfood Green Smoothie
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 2 frozen Bananas
- 2 cups Kale, packed
- 3 tbsp Cocoa nibs
- 2 tbsp Hemp seeds
- 2 tbsp chopped Mint, packed
- 1 tbsp Maca powder
- 1/2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Wheatgrass powder
- 2 cups Coconut Milk
- Optional: garnish with extra cacao nibs and mint leaves.
