I was pleasantly surprised how good a melon smoothie tasted – I’d assumed that with such a delicate flavor it would be lost in a smoothie. I have tried several different types of melon and enjoyed each of them, again surprised to notice the differences. This smoothie uses cantaloupe and the recipe is from Jenna, at EatLiveRun.
Jenna says she loves cake and sometimes eats kale, too, lol! She also says …
These high-protein smoothies made a lovely lil’ snackie snack … this isn’t a “real” recipe, as it is a method. You can add whatever you like to these smoothies (additional fruit like bananas would be great!) and enjoy them for breakfasts or snacks on the go.
Recipe: Jenna’s Creamy Cantaloupe Smoothie
Serves 2 large smoothies
Ingredients:
1 Cantaloupe, seeded scooped out and roughly chopped
1 cup Greek Yogurt (I wouldn’t recommend using nonfat because it won’t turn out as creamy)
2 tbsp Honey, adjust to taste (optional)
1 cup Ice
Blend and enjoy.
I made something very similar just this morning and loved it! Here's my Melon Ginger Smoothie recipe …

1 cup Kefir or Yogurt, whichever I happen to have

3 Chard leaves and stems
2 tbsp Chia Seeds
1/2 tsp Ginger
1/4 tsp Turmeric
pinch Pepper
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
3-4 Ice cubes
