Recipe: Heart-smart Paradise Green Smoothie – Relieves Many Ailments

Ingredients: (servings good for 2) 

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 banana (frozen is great)
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon your favorite greens protein powder
  • 1 very large fist full of kale (middle stems taken out) or spinach leaves
  • 1/2 apple, skin on (only if you have a very aggressive blender otherwise leave out)
  • 6-8 oz almond milk
  • 4 ice cubes
  • A drizzle of maple syrup (optional)

Optional additions: 2 teaspoons spirulina, 2 teaspoons psyllium husk and fine drops of flax seed oil.
