Healthy Strawberry Banana Smoothie 2 Ways

Which way do you prefer your smoothie? In a glass or in a bowl? My research indicates smoothies in a glass are still winning. Certainly here on DrinkMeHealthy, posting a smoothie bowl does not prove very popular – then again, we are ‘drink’ me healthy not ‘eat’ me healthy, lol! So if I find a smoothie bowl recipe that sounds good, I’ll give you both options.

This is a filling recipe and will be delicious as a breakfast or shared as a snack.

Frozen strawberries will work really well, too.


Recipe: Healthy Strawberry Banana Smoothie 2 Ways

Make this delicious smoothie recipe as a smoothie bowl or as a drink. Add 1/2 cup* almond milk for the smoothie bowl and 1 cup* for the smoothie drink. If you decide to add 2 tablespoons chia seeds then you may want a little more milk or water for the drink. The calories estimate is calculated on 1 tbs, so the count will be higher if you add more.

 

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Strawberries fresh or frozen

  • 1 ripe Banana

  • ½-1 cup* Almond Milk

  • 2 tablespoons Oats

  • 1-2 tablespoons Chia seeds

  • 1 tablespoon Almond Slices

Save a few bits of each ingredient to decorate the top of your smoothie or smoothie bowl.

Blend until smooth and enjoy.
