In summary, both ginger and cacao have a lot of health benefits from aiding nausea and digestion to reducing inflammation in osteoarthritis sufferers.

Cacao nibs are made from pure cacao beans that come straight out of the tropical cacao fruit. They have an amazing nutritional profile and a strong, dark flavour with just a touch of sweetness. I love them!


Recipe: Health-Boosting Chocolate Ginger Smoothie

Serves 1-2; makes approx 24 oz (750 ml)

Ingredients:

  • 1 heaping cup chopped, ripe Pear (1-1/2 Medium)

  • 3 Medjool Dates, pitted and chopped

  • 1/4 cup raw Cashews

  • 1-1/2 cups Almond Milk

  • 1-1/2″ fresh Ginger

  • 1 cup Ice

  • 2 Tbsp Cacao Nibs

  • 1-2 Tbsp raw Cacao Powder, optional, if you want it more chocolatey

Blend everything except the Cacao Nibs until smooth. Add them and pulse again for a crunchy texture.
