I love the sound of this recipe. No, not because I love spinach, but because it sounds so refreshing, plus there is protein without using protein powder. Just look at all that mineral rich spinach!
According to the world’s healthiest foods website, spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), manganese, folate, magnesium, iron, copper, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium, potassium, and vitamin C. It is a very good source of dietary fiber, phosphorus, vitamin B1, zinc, protein, and choline.
And you get all that in this recipe without having to do the rabbit impression, lol!
It took several attempts to get the spinach:liquid:frozen fruit ratio just right but last weekend I perfected this Simple Green Protein Smoothie, without protein powder or fruit juice and for about one-third of the price of what I’d normally pay.
