Who else finds it hard to keep their weight on track? One thing that helps us a lot is to make it easier to stick to our meal plan than to deviate from it… How do we do that? Here’s a tried and tested approach along with helpful instructions from Amber Brady (Dessert Now, Dinner Later!).
In the smoothie world, that translates to stocking up with healthy fresh ingredients, preparing your recipes ahead of time and freezing them ready for use later. Using freezer smoothie packs, you can have complete smoothie recipes ready for consumption by just adding water or milk for a quick, delicious, and nutritious breakfast or snack at any time of the day (or night)!
This approach brings with it several benefits…
- you retain full control of your choice of ingredients
- you can buy fresh fruit & veg in season at their cheapest and freeze for use throughout the year
- hardly any time to make up ready for consumption
- frees up time to enjoy your smoothie instead a rushed gulping on the go…
Amber shares how to do this efficiently, and why its so worthwhile…
Well, prepping and measuring several ingredients for a smoothie takes more time than I always think it will, and I’m almost always taking my smoothie on-the-go, when I would rather have enough time to sit down and enjoy it before running out the door to school.
So on the weekends, if I prep my smoothies, the weekday mornings go so much better.
My kids always beg me for a sip of my green smoothie, because they love these as much as I do.
