I love figs. Fresh if I can find them, but I love dried figs too. This tasty smoothie is rich in protein and fiber from the yogurt and chia seeds used. Because of all the fiber it will help keep you full till lunch time. If you usually need a snack in the afternoon, then keep a little back to have then.

If you use dried figs in the recipe then try to plan ahead.. Measure out the yogurt you will need in the morning and soak the figs overnight in the yogurt and almond milk along with the dates and chia seeds.

Recipe: Fig and Greek Yogurt Smoothie
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsweetened Almond Milk or Water
- 1 cup nonfat Greek Yogurt
- 4 fresh Figs, OR 1/2 cup Dried Figs, stems removed
- 1/2 Banana
- 2 tbs Oats
- 2 tbs Chia seeds
- 1-2 Dates, pitted
- 1 teaspoon fresh Lemon juice
- Dash of Cinnamon
- Ice
Optional: 1 tablespoon Honey
Blend until smooth, adding a little more milk or water if it is too thick for your taste. Pour into 2 glasses. Enjoy.
