I love dates but didn’t know they are ‘nature’s power fruit’, did you? They’re packed full of vitamins, minerals and fiber; they decrease cholesterol and boost bone health. Next time you’re looking for a natural constipation reliever, think medjool dates. Are you heading for the gym? Then pack a few as a pre- or post-workout snack for they are high in natural sugars that are easily processed and used by your body.
Dr Josh Axe says of medjool dates …
… when Medjool dates are made into a paste, they become an awesome, nutrient-dense sugar substitute. Date paste can be used one-to-one in most recipes, unlike stevia, and it adds bulk for baking.
Medjool dates can be good for your heart reducing triglycerides in blood, are an excellent natural sweetener, and are high in calcium and phosphorous which work together to build strong bones and teeth.
