There’s just something that is so right about cinnamon and apple together!

I love to bake apples with cinnamon and raisins. If you need a little sweetness in this smoothie that would be a good way to get it – just soak the raisins in a little warm water for a few minutes while you prepare the apples then add them to the blender.

One other suggestion I’d make is to sauté the apples with a little coconut oil then you have some healthy fat to help you digest the greens. And yes, I really recommend you include the spinach – you won’t know it’s there … well, you will because of the color, but honestly, you won’t taste it, lol!

The recipe is from Dana at MyLittleCelebration and the details are over the page. Dana says …

Sautéing the apples and adding a dash of cinnamon gave this otherwise basic smoothie … plenty of baked apple flavor. Topped off with a bit of granola and another slice or two of cinnamon apple and it’s positively perfect …

You could also leave your apple raw though it will take on a different flavor. still tasty no doubt, but different. If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add more ice. If you prefer it thinner, add more water or throw your apples in while they’re still warm.
