A savory cabbage, carrot and apple smoothie with just a hint of sweetness from the apple and a little spice from some ginger. Fresh ginger is best but you can use powdered ginger if you do not have any fresh. Add more if you like it spicy – adjust the quantity to suit your preference.
If you do not have any cabbage you can substitute broccoli.

Recipe: Cabbage Carrot Apple Smoothie only 50 cals
Serves 4; approx 50 cals each
Ingredients:
- 2 cups / 140 g green Cabbage, or Broccoli
- 2 medium Carrots, peeled
- 1 medium tart Apple, peeled and cored
- 2 Celery stalks, with leaves
- 1 inch knob Ginger, peeled
- 2 cups Water
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
